“Dancing With The Stars” had a great 20th birthday party in Season 34 Week 9. There were exciting performances, a nostalgic tribute, and fierce competition that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough hosted the show, which had seven couples left competing in one of the most competitive nights yet.
The famous episode had a special Relay Dance competition where pairs danced to half of the song each, trying to earn extra points. Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas, who had immunity from the week before, kept their lead with an automatic two-point bonus.
Four perfect scores (40/40) were a rare highlight of the night, showing how talented and dedicated the dancers were. Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach, Robert Irwin and Witney Carson, Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas all gave perfect performances that got standing ovations and perfect scores from the judges.
But not all of the times were happy. Andy Richter, a comedian, and his partner Emma Slater were kicked off after getting the lowest combined score of 29 for their Quickstep. Andy said goodbye to DWTS this week, and it was a very emotional farewell on this milestone episode, even though everyone praised his growth and dedication.
The night made it clear how high the stakes are getting as the competition heads into its last few weeks, with couples competing for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. The show continues to wow audiences with perfect scores and powerful storytelling through dance. It also honors two decades of elegant performances and fierce rivalries on ABC’s hit dance competition.
Don’t miss the upcoming episodes of DWTS Season 34 airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, with next-day streaming on Hulu.
