Eric Dane, who is well-known for his roles in Euphoria and Grey’s Anatomy, will not be able to attend the ALS Network Gala as planned because he is still having health problems related to his ALS diagnosis. Dane was named Advocate of the Year in September. His absence shows how strong he is in his fight against the progressive disease he revealed in April 2025.
The gala on Saturday is a celebration of people who make a difference and raise money for ALS research and care. Dane’s team confirmed that he couldn’t go because he needed to focus on getting better after recent setbacks, like being hospitalized after a fall related to ALS that kept him from going to the 2025 Emmys.
Dane has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which is also called Lou Gehrig’s Disease. He has promised to fight “to the last breath” while pushing for more research in Washington, D.C. His honesty has raised awareness, even though he is playing an ALS patient on NBC’s Brilliant Minds.
