Eve Hewson and Tom Burke star in this unnamed movie from famous director Lenny Abrahamson, who is known for “Normal People” and “Room.” Sean Meagher, who is new to the role, plays Davey, a 12-year-old boy going through puberty while his parents’ marriage changes. The movie promises to give a poetic picture of how families worked in Dublin’s Jewish community in the late 1970s.
Element Pictures will start filming on March 2, 2026, in Dublin. Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Catherine Magee, and Abrahamson are the producers. Abrahamson works with people from “Normal People” again, like cinematographer Suzie Lavelle, editor Nathan Nugent, and composer Stephen Rennicks. Eimer ní Mhaoldomhnaigh, the costume designer for “The Banshees of Inisherin,” is one of the most important crew members.
A24 takes care of distribution in the U.S., Elevation Pictures does it in Canada, and FilmNation does it for the rest of the world. Film4, High Frequency Entertainment, Screen Ireland, and RTÉ all give money. Hewson has been in “Flora and Son,” “Bad Sisters,” and the upcoming Spielberg movie “Disclosure Day.” Burke has been in “Black Bag” and “Furiosa.”
