Actress Geetanjali Mishra, known for her role in the popular show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, produced by Sanjay and Binaiferr Kohli, emphasizes the immense value of friendship in her life. She believes that friendships are uniquely special because they are chosen by individuals, unlike other relationships that are bestowed upon us. Trust and support, she asserts, are the cornerstones of any successful friendship.

“Friendship holds a very special significance in everyone’s life because it is the only relationship you choose by your own decisions, while all other relationships are God-gifted. Naming one is difficult because friends hold different meanings. However, on a personal level, I would mention Ankita. She started as a fan, became a friend, and is now like family. On the professional and personal front, Capt. Vineet Chaturvedi is a close friend, and his company also manages my work,” says Geetanjali.

When asked about the qualities she values most in a best friend, Geetanjali highlights the importance of trust, support, and the willingness to ensure that a friend stays out of trouble. She explains, “The basic qualities of friends are trust, support, and a commitment to keeping your friend safe from any kind of trouble.”

Geetanjali also acknowledges the busy nature of professional relationships but insists that true friends always find time for each other. “Everyone is busy when it comes to work relationships. But everyone can be free when it comes to friends,” she adds.

Reflecting on her friendships on the set of her current show, Geetanjali mentions Sapna Sikarwar as a close friend. “Sapna was my neighbour a long time ago, and now we are working on the same show. She plays my sister’s role, and off-screen, we are like sisters. Our work environment is very light as we enjoy cracking jokes with each other,” she shares.

Geetanjali concludes by noting the distinction between the reel and the real world: “In our show, it’s all about acting between action and cut, while in real life, it’s all about genuine emotions. Hence, there can’t be any comparison.”
