“GREEN BOOK”, which features Viggo Mortenson & Mahershala Ali are absolutely brilliant together. Its a feel good and uplifting film that is perfect for the holiday season.
Based on a true story during the early sixties, a friendship began between two people that were poles apart. Don Shirley – A Jazz pianist, and an Italian called Tony Lip from the Bronx, takes on the job of driving the musician to north and south in the United states for concerts.
That era down south many blacks faced racism, and dealt with civil unrest. One plays a distinguished gentleman, while the other is loud, sloppy, and lacks the sophistication that one needs in life. But the crux of the story is how they stand up for each other, despite their differences builds their friendship during their road trip together.
The film his funny, touching, and has an amazing story and screenplay to enjoy. It is highly recommended and it is not to be missed. The film gets a 4 star recommendation. I hope it gets nominated for everything. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
