Harry Potter 25th Anniversary: Warner Bros Global Celebrations 2026

In 2026, Warner Bros. Discovery will start a year-long global celebration to mark the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. This was the first movie based on J.K. Rowling’s books, and it made over $7.7 billion worldwide. It was also the start of an eight-movie franchise. Chris Columbus directed the movie, which starred young Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson along with Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith. It was the first time that the wizarding world was shown in theaters. This milestone honors the past while hinting at the new HBO series that will come out in 2027.

In March, butterbeer trucks start serving drinks and selling things in cities all over the world. Then, on July 31, there are events for Harry’s birthday at official stores and retailers. Back to Hogwarts comes back in August and September, bringing fans from all over the world together. Theme parks like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter have a short-lived butterbeer season and fun, interactive activities.

The original movie is coming back to theaters in several countries from August 27 to September 3. It will have 10 extra minutes of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage and other surprises. From March 4, you can buy tickets to see the movie Shared Reality at Cosm venues in Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, and Detroit. The movie will have better visuals.

Lego, Crocs, Vera Bradley, and MinaLima are just a few of the brands that are releasing new collections with a special 25th anniversary logo inspired by the Patronus. There are new summer attractions at Warner Bros. Studio Tours in London and Tokyo, such as London’s Sorcerer’s Stone tribute. Harry Potter Shops in the U.S., London, Tokyo, and online sell limited-edition items like a celebration bear.
