Fans all over the world are excited that they can now pre-order the famous white zip-up fleece jacket that Shane Hollander wore in HBO Max and Crave’s hit show Heated Rivalry. After a lot of people asked for it online, producers at Accent Aigu Entertainment worked with Province of Canada Apparel to make the cozy piece with the maple leaf on it a reality.
In episode 2, Hudson Williams plays Shane Hollander, the Montreal Metros’ star center. He wears a simple white fleece with “Canada” on the back and maple leaves on the sleeves, which reminds him of his Olympic dreams. Costume designer Hanna Puley made it to show off Shane’s practical, understated Canadian style, which is very different from rival Ilya Rozanov’s more flashy style. Fan sites like Etsy sell fake versions of clothes and hoodies, but this is the real deal based on the show.
After the episode, social media went crazy, with Reddit threads identifying the custom design and CBC coverage calling it a “Team Canada fleece” phenomenon.
