October 8, 2024, Mumbai The Rotary Club of Bombay has bestowed upon renowned choreographer Shiamak Davar the esteemed Kalpana Sham Munshi Lifetime Achievement Award for Performing Arts. With a career spanning more than 25 years, Davar has established himself as a forerunner in modern choreography, and this award honours his exceptional contributions to the dance industry.
Davar, who is frequently referred to as the “Guru of Contemporary Dance,” has transformed Indian dance by combining many genres and producing exciting, dynamic performances.
