John Summit Threatens Wasserman Exit Over Epstein Ties

On February 12, 2026, Summit posted on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, “If Casey Wasserman doesn’t step down, I will not stay with the agency.” His actions do not show the honesty of the agents I work with. He stressed that his agents are not involved and that he has no plans to leave them, but the controversy has led to a review of his representation that is still going on. Dance music star John Summit says he might leave Wasserman Agency because the CEO has ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

The uproar is because of new documents from the Department of Justice that show a lot of emails between Wasserman and Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking related to Epstein. Wasserman has said he regrets what he said to Maxwell in 2002, but he says he never did business with Epstein. Wasserman is under more scrutiny now that he is in charge of organizing the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Some politicians have even called for him to step down so that the Games don’t get in the way.

Summit is leaving Wasserman, joining a growing list of artists who have already left, including Chappell Roan, Orville Peck, Abby Wambach, and others. According to reports, agents at the agency are telling clients to speak out publicly to push for change, but their own exits may be delayed by contract issues. Minority owner Providence is keeping an eye on things and pointing out how the entertainment industry is demanding more accountability because of its past ties to sex offenders.
