Karanvir Sharma, who’s been killing it in movies, TV, and streaming shows, is back with a bang in The Trial Season 2. What’s even cooler is that this season marks his first time working with the super talented director Umesh Bist, someone Karanvir clearly has a ton of respect for.
“He Just Gets Actors”
So, what makes Umesh Bist so special? According to Karanvir, it’s his sharp eye and deep understanding.
“He’s got so much experience, and it shows,” Karanvir explained. “He knows exactly what he wants and has a knack for explaining it in a way that just clicks – sometimes straight up, sometimes with a little nudge. He’s definitely one of those directors who really understands actors.”
A Confidence Booster
It sounds like Umesh Bist also knows how to bring out the best in his cast. Karanvir shared how a simple comment from the director gave him a whole new level of confidence.
“He told me, ‘Every film has a hero. In this film, you, as Param Munjal, are the hero.’ That really stuck with me,” Karanvir remembered.
On-Set Wisdom
Karanvir also shared a couple of golden rules he picked up from working with Bist:
“First, nail your lines – know them inside and out. Second, don’t overthink it. Put your heart into the work, forget about the competition, and just be yourself.”
