Reality TV star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian said she didn’t pass the California bar exam, even though she had been working hard for six years to become a licensed attorney. Kardashian posted about it on Instagram, saying, “I’m not a lawyer yet; I just play one on TV.” She was referring to her role as attorney Allura Grant on Hulu’s show All’s Fair.
Kim has been studying law through California’s Law Office Study Program since 2018. This program is an apprenticeship that lets people become lawyers without going to law school. In 2021, she passed the “baby bar” exam on her fourth try, but she didn’t pass the final bar exam in July.
Even though things didn’t go her way, Kardashian is still determined to succeed. “Falling short isn’t failure; it’s fuel,” she said, thanking her supporters and promising, “No shortcuts, no giving up—just more studying and even more determination.”
The star, who has also spoken out for changes to the criminal justice system, is juggling her acting career, business ventures, and studies for her law degree. She wants to become a licensed lawyer and start a law firm that helps people who have been in jail before.
While All’s Fair got mixed reviews, Kardashian’s determination in real life shines through as she continues to work toward a legal career, inspired by her late father, Robert Kardashian, who was a well-known lawyer known for his work in the O.J. Simpson trial.
