Kiran Khoje on Her Role in ‘Terava’: Depicting the Lives of Women in Drought-Hit Regions

Kiran Khoje, a renowned actress who starred in “Talvar”, “Hindi Medium’’, and “Super 30”, is set to appear in the upcoming Marathi film “Terava”. The film depicts the plight of farmers’ wives in drought-hit regions, who are left alone after their husbands commit suicide due to debt. Kiran plays the main role of a farmer’s wife and shares her experience of working on this emotional film.

“‘Terava’ is a heart-wrenching film that explores the lives of children who lost their fathers and young women who their husbands abandoned. The film shows the real challenges, struggles, and resilience of these women. It is a moving story of how they cope with adversity and find hope,” she said.

“I feel honoured to have played the role of a farmer’s wife in ‘Terava’. It was a deep and meaningful experience to connect with the character, knowing that she represents the real farmers’ wives and their stories of courage and strength,” she added.

The film is scheduled to release on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day. Kiran said the film is a tribute to women and their confidence, determination and strength.
