Mumbai, 29 January 2026: The fog descends once again over Dalerpura, bringing with it a web of lies, secrets, and intrigue. Netflix’s hit crime drama Kohrra returns for a gripping second season. The newly released trailer hints at a mystery even more layered and complex than the first.
A Murder That Shakes Dalerpura
The story centres on the shocking murder of a woman, played by Pooja Bhamrrah, whose body is discovered in her brother Anurag Arora’s barn. The list of suspects quickly grows, including her husband, portrayed by Rannvijay Singha. Meanwhile, two determined officers race against time to uncover the truth. Each new clue only thickens the fog, making the investigation increasingly tense and unpredictable.
New Dynamics, Old Shadows
Returning as Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Garundi, Barun Sobti finds himself far from his hometown of Jagrana. Alongside him is Sub-Inspector Dhanwant Kaur, played by Mona Singh — a methodical, disciplined officer whose approach contrasts sharply with Garundi’s instinctive style.
Together, they combine brains and brawn, tackling the case while confronting their own vulnerabilities.
Barun Sobti: “Garundi hopes to start fresh this season, but the past never lets go. The mystery is deeper and more layered, and this journey pushed me as an actor in ways I hadn’t experienced before. I’m excited for viewers to return to this world.”
Mona Singh: “Dhanwant doesn’t speak much, but her resolve is immense. She navigates loss, responsibility, and constant challenges quietly but powerfully. It was a role that demanded restraint, and I’m grateful to the team for trusting me.”
A Great Team Behind the Scenes
Kohrra Season 2 is produced by Saurabh Malhotra, Sudip Sharma, Manuj Mittra, and Tina Tharwani. This season also marks Sudip Sharma’s directorial debut alongside Faisal Rahman. The series is written by Gunjit Chopra, Diggi Sisodia, and Sudip Sharma, promising the same gripping storytelling, intricate plotting, and complex characters that made Season 1 a hit.
