Mumbai, India – Kunal Kemmu has been honoured with the Best Debut Director award at the Zee Cine Awards 2025 for his film Madgaon Express. Due to prior work commitments, the actor-turned-director couldn’t attend the ceremony. His wife, actress Soha Ali Khan, accepted the award on his behalf.
Kemmu later shared the news on Instagram, writing,
“Thank you @zeecineawards for honouring me… sorry I couldn’t be there… but had my better half receive it for me.”
He also thanked his team and fans, adding,
“This one is for the entire team… I feel humbled and grateful.”
