US F-15 Crashes in Kuwait: Pilot Ejects Safely

On March 2, 2026, a US F-15 fighter jet crashed near the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. The pilot safely ejected and landed with a parachute in a desert area near the base. Geolocated footage shows the person in full flight gear kneeling next to an orange and white parachute. While people helped the pilot, who was standing in the middle of the chaos, thick black smoke rose in the background.

The twin-engine jet, which looked like an F-15 Strike Eagle, went into a tailspin and crashed less than 10 kilometers from the US-run Ali Al Salem Air Base. Videos on social media, including some from Al Jahra, show the plane falling and the pilot parachuting to safety. Reports say that there may have been friendly fire or a mechanical failure because of tensions between Iran and the US. Debris from the crash hit the Mina Al Ahmadi refinery nearby, hurting two workers slightly and forcing the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) to respond quickly.

The incident happens as tensions rise in the Middle East, with reports of Iranian attacks on US bases after recent escalations. The Defense Ministry of Kuwait said that several US military planes crashed, but the crews were safe. Iranian media said they were involved, but this has not been confirmed. As investigations continue, US and Kuwaiti officials have not yet made any official statements about what caused the crash or the pilot’s condition. In some videos, there was no fire around the wreckage after the crash, which shows that the pilot was able to get out safely.
