His path to joining the show was marked by a series of unexpected events, which he described as a fortunate twist of fate.

A Fateful Decision

Reflecting on his decision to take on the role, Lakshay revealed, “I feel like I was destined to do this show. I had just finished my last show a month before being offered this new one. Initially, I wasn’t ready to dive into another project as I needed some time to recuperate and regain my energy. However, when I received the audition script for ‘Ishq Jabariya,’ I found it very interesting and thought, ‘Why not give the audition a shot?'”

The Audition Process

Lakshay continued, “After I auditioned, the producer and others were impressed with my performance and suggested a mock shoot. At that moment, it felt like things were falling into place. Although I hoped for a bit more time before starting, I received a call for the mock shoot. Despite being at home in Delhi, I went for the mock shoot and performed. Later, they informed me that I had been finalized for the project. It felt like a sign from above, and everything just aligned perfectly.”

‘Ishq Jabariya’ is a romantic drama centred around Gulki, a spirited young woman with dreams of becoming an air hostess. Despite enduring hardships from her unkind stepmother, Gulki’s hope never wavers. Her journey is filled with surprises, and she might even find love in the most unexpected places.
