Lucy Dickins Exits WME: Music Division Shakeup

Christian Muirhead, co-chairman of WME Group, sent an internal memo saying that Lucy Dickins, co-head of contemporary music at WME, is leaving the agency after a transformative time there. Kirk Sommer, who has worked with artists like Benson Boone, The Killers, and Nine Inch Nails for a long time, will now be in charge of the division on his own.

Dickins came to WME from ITB in 2019 to run the UK office and bring superstar client Adele to the international stage. She was promoted to global co-head of music in 2020 after Marc Geiger left. In 2022, she moved to Los Angeles to become global head of contemporary music and touring. During the pandemic, she gave important help. After COVID, she helped sign new artists like Rosé and Carín León, as well as new touring models for artists like Luke Combs and Chris Stapleton.

The memo says that Dickins has brought new life to WME’s London office, helped the company deal with problems in the industry, and filled the department with passion. There was no official reason given for her leaving, but sources think her contract may have run out and there are rumors that she might move to CAA, a competitor. WME will make more updates as needed.
