Maitri Bhanushali’s Dramatic Transformation in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya
Maitri Bhanushali’s character Tina in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya on Sun Neo has undergone a fascinating shift—from a carefree tomboy to a mysterious daayan. This unexpected transformation has been both a challenge and an exciting opportunity for the actress.
Initial Nervousness and Surprise
When Maitri first learned she would play a daayan, she was both surprised and nervous. “I didn’t expect such a role,” she admits. “It was completely new, and I wasn’t sure how to approach it. I was very conscious about how to perform this unique and challenging character.”
Director’s Guidance and Learning Curve
With her director’s support, Maitri embraced the role of the daayan, though it wasn’t without nerves. “On the first day, I was anxious. I followed the director’s instructions closely, and his feedback—both positive and corrective—helped me grow into the character.”
Drawing Inspiration from Iconic Roles
To perfect her performance, Maitri sought inspiration from iconic characters. “I watched Nazar to observe Monalisa’s portrayal of a daayan, and also studied Komolika from another show. These characters helped me understand the nuances of the role,” she shares. By day three, Maitri found herself enjoying the role more, embracing the freedom and complexity it offered.
Captivating Viewers with Tina’s Evolution
Maitri’s evolving portrayal of Tina promises to keep Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya viewers on the edge of their seats. The show follows Vaishnavi, an orphan who draws strength from her faith in Chhathi Maiyya, portrayed by Sneha Wagh. Maitri is joined by a talented cast, including Sara Khan, Jaya Bhattacharya, Brinda Dahal, and Ashish Dixit.
