Actor Manas Shah is set to star in the upcoming Gujarati film Shortcut Padyo Longcut. The film explores themes of love, impulsive decisions, and personal growth. Shah shared insights into his character and upcoming ventures.
A Character Unlike Himself
In Shortcut Padyo Longcut, Shah plays a character named Manas. However, he revealed that his character is very different from him in real life. “Manas makes emotional decisions that lead to problems,” Shah explained. “In real life, I’m more mature and avoid rushing into decisions.”
The Similarity in Love
While their personalities differ, Shah sees a similarity between his character’s approach to love and his own. “Both in real life and the film, when Manas commits, he stays loyal. I believe in supporting my partner no matter what,” he added.
The Meaning Behind the Film’s Title
The title Shortcut Padyo Longcut reflects the film’s core message: shortcuts often lead to bigger problems. “The movie shows that while shortcuts may seem like an easier way, they can result in failure,” Shah said. “The long route, though tough, ensures stability and success.”
A Challenging Scene
One of the most challenging moments for Shah was when his character witnesses Alisha (played by ) being tortured in jail. “The guilt breaks Manas. His carefree attitude disappears, and he realizes his mistakes,” Shah recalled. He also mentioned a powerful moment when Manas rescues Alisha and vows to protect her.
Upcoming OTT Debut in Burari Revisited
Shah is also excited for his OTT debut in Burari Revisited, a series based on the Burari murder case. “Unlike previous portrayals, this series focuses on the aftermath and legal developments,” he shared. “I play a paranormal activist, which was an incredible experience.”
New Gujarati Film and TV Plans
Shah is also working on a Gujarati film set in Birmingham. “I’m looking forward to finishing this project,” he said. Though focused on films, Shah still holds TV close to his heart. “If a good TV project comes along, I’d consider it,” he added.
