The comedy franchise, loved by many, Mastiii, roared back into cinemas as its successor, Mastiii 4, got off to a flying start on the first day of its release. The adult-comedy grossed a commendable ₹4.85 crore on Day 1, which was considered a healthy opening and reinforced the fact that this cult comedy series is very popular in mass circuits and interior regions.
The film is directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and reunites the original trio, consisting of Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani, whose signature chaos and comic timing remain the soul of the franchise. The element of their nostalgic chemistry, coupled with over-the-top humour, seems to have clicked with the fans as encouraging word-of-mouth combined with solid footfalls in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets.
Joining the madness this time are Shreya Sharma, Ruhii Singh, and Elnaaz Norouzi, whose performances have added freshness to the ensemble. The movie also features Tusshar Kapoor, Nishant Malkhani, and Shaad Randhawa, with surprise cameos by Arshad Warsi and Nargis Fakhri, further elevating the entertainment quotient.
Backed by strong brand recall and years of fan love, Mastiii 4 benefited from a loyal audience base that keeps showing up for its loud, unapologetic humour. Trade experts are hopeful that in the weekend ahead, the film’s collection will grow further and keep its box office momentum going.
