A Ghazal Reimagined for Today
Composed by Pritam, ‘Zamaana Lage’ blends the timeless charm of ghazals with a modern sound. Inspired by Qaisar Ul Jafri’s poetic line “Tumhaare sheher ka mausam bada suhana lage”, the lyrics are enriched by Sandeep Shrivastava.
Powerful Voices, Emotional Depth
Sung by Arijit Singh and Shashwat Singh, the song carries emotional weight while appealing to a younger generation. It brings poetry and melody together in a refreshing new way.
Pritam on Reimagining Ghazals
“We wanted to revive the ghazal not as nostalgia, but as something real and relevant. A ghazal can be modern, even pop, while still holding onto its poetic soul,” says Pritam.
