By Arun Sajnani,

MOTHER – Oh Brother!!!!…It’s “MOTHER” – From the makers of “Black Swan” that won critical acclaim at the box-office, now bring you film that is filled with symbolism and metaphors. Sometimes it is fun to watch such films that are a bit unusual, but this one goes way over the top with acting and the absurdity that takes place in this rural suburban home, where a poet/writer, played by Javier Bardem and his lovely wife, played by Jennifer Lawrence live together.

It seems that the husband has a writer’s block, yet he finds his sanity through his wife after they have been married. He is lonely, so he likes to invite strangers like without asking his wife. She wants him for herself only. But the strangers prevail, primarily played by Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeifer. Its basically a film that battles the theme of one being an extrovert, while the other is an introvert, but their undying love is there. The film has many dark secrets behind the walls where they live in, but appear as a metamorphosis that has not properly developed. With a film towards the climax, I personally started cracking up. Put it this way it was not my cup of tea. The film gets 1 and a half stars. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
