Mumbai, May 10, 2025 — Actress Muskaan Agarwal has finally addressed the controversy surrounding ULLU’s bold reality show House Arrest. Amid growing criticism, she defended the show’s content and questioned the double standards in how boldness is viewed in Indian entertainment.

“The Show Was Clearly for Adults”

Muskaan clarified that House Arrest was made for an 18+ audience.
“Nothing unethical was shown. All participants wore proper garments—tube bras, skin-coloured shorts, silicone covers. We followed the rules,” she explained.

Disappointed Over Removal

The actress expressed her frustration over the show’s removal.
“It was behind a paywall. Viewers subscribed knowing the content was for adults. It wasn’t free or publicly pushed,” she said.
She also compared the content to more explicit scenes on other OTT platforms that face no such backlash.

“Why Only Target Us?”

Muskaan called out the hypocrisy in how bold content is treated.
“Actresses dress provocatively at airports to get papped. That’s celebrated. But when it’s in a show like this, it’s criticized?” she asked.
She pointed to films like Animal, where bold scenes were accepted without controversy.

“No One Was Forced”

She emphasized that participation was voluntary.
“Everyone knew the format. No one was pressured. Safety guidelines were in place,” she stated.

Consent Over Censorship

Muskaan believes consent and intent matter more than outrage.
“It was adult content on a clearly marked adult platform. If everything was consensual and safe, where’s the harm?” she argued.
She also noted, “Truth or dare games in real life are just as bold. Why no outrage there?”
