Actor Neel Samarthh, known for shows like Tera Kya Hoga Alia and Kundali Bhagya, is set to star in the upcoming series Sabse Bada Rupaiya on Atrangii, releasing May 2nd. The show promises an exciting blend of love, crime, and ambition.

A Character Driven by Love and Money

Samarthh plays the protagonist, a lover boy who robs a bank to secure a better future for his girlfriend. He explains, “Money is often seen as the solution to life’s problems, but it’s not the most important thing. It plays a significant role, but wealth doesn’t guarantee happiness. People often associate comfort with happiness, but true fulfillment goes beyond material wealth.”

Adopting the ‘Desi Boy from Lucknow’ Look

To bring his character to life, Samarthh adopted a fresh look inspired by Lucknow’s street style. He shares, “I went for a ‘desi boy from Lucknow’ vibe—quirky hair color, ear studs, and an open shirt over a T-shirt. This rugged, street-smart look helped me connect with my character.”

The Show’s Winning Formula: Vision and Teamwork

Samarthh credits the show’s success to the vision of writer-director Rajeev Mehendiratta and the cast’s performances. “The innocence of the characters, combined with great acting, makes this show special. Thanks to Rajeev sir’s leadership, we completed filming in just 14 days instead of the planned month.”

Navigating Intimacy in OTT Content

Samarthh opens up about his initial hesitation toward intimate scenes in OTT shows. He says, “Times have changed, and intimacy is part of modern storytelling. Audiences today want authenticity and vulnerability. But overusing intimacy can detract from the story. It’s important that it serves the narrative.”

Why Sabse Bada Rupaiya Stands Out

The series explores themes of love, ambition, and the pursuit of money, with Samarthh’s relatable character at its heart. “It’s a show about real-life issues,” he says. “The characters’ innocence and emotional depth make it a compelling watch.”

Don’t miss Sabse Bada Rupaiya on Atrangii, streaming from May 2nd.
