This was also the time when people around the world were celebrating New Year’s Eve. People who tried to watch the last episode of the Duffer Brothers’ ten-year series, which is more than two hours long, got error messages like “Something went wrong.” The outage lasted about a minute, but it made people angry and led to memes on social media sites like X (formerly Twitter).
This is the second big Netflix outage related to Stranger Things Season 5. The first one happened on November 26, when the first four episodes of Volume 1 premiered. Netflix had said before that short streaming problems on TV devices were fixed for all accounts within five minutes.
