OnlyFans CEO Leo Radvinsky: ‘Zuckerberg of Porn’ Empire

OnlyFans CEO Leo Radvinsky has called himself the “Zuckerberg of porn,” which has turned heads in both the tech and entertainment industries. During a rare interview, the Ukrainian-American billionaire entrepreneur, whose adult content platform has become a global powerhouse, made the shocking claim. He did this to draw attention to his platform’s meteoric rise in the booming content creator economy.

Radvinsky, who is 48 years old, started OnlyFans in 2016 as a subscription-based site for chefs and fitness influencers. But it quickly changed to adult content and now has more than 3 million creators and 300 million users around the world. Radvinsky told The Hollywood Reporter, “We’re the Facebook of adult content,” comparing his site to Mark Zuckerberg’s huge social network. His nickname “Zuckerberg of porn” shows how big the platform is in the $100 billion adult industry. Last year, OnlyFans paid out $6.6 billion to creators.

The CEO’s story of going from being a web developer in Chicago to being a billionaire on the Forbes list (with a net worth of $3.8 billion) is a classic rags-to-riches story. He sold his shares in MyFreeCams, another adult site he started in 2004, early and put the money into OnlyFans. Even though there have been problems, like banks pulling out of the platform because of explicit content, Radvinsky has worked through payment processor issues and content moderation issues, giving creators 80% of the revenue and taking 20% of it.

Radvinsky wants to grow beyond adult content and is working on AI tools and mainstream features that will compete with Patreon and Substack. He said, “We’re not just porn; we’re the future of direct fan monetization,” putting OnlyFans at the top of the creator economy shift.

As arguments rage over Big Tech’s role in adult content, Radvinsky’s unapologetic vision cements his status as the ultimate disruptor.
