Experiencing the realization of long-cherished dreams is a rarity, yet for Paresh Pahuja, a talented and credible actor, it has become a testament to his craft and journey in the film industry. The charming actor recently shared his full-circle moment at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, where he reflected on a decade-long journey and the magical turn of events that led him to the prestigious IFFI stage.
The Magical Universe at IFFI:
Recalling his first encounter with IFFI a decade ago, Paresh expressed, “It’s magical how the universe works. The first time I attended IFFI was 10 years ago.” As a media student and film enthusiast, he found himself in the audience, watching the cast and crew take the stage. Little did he know that a decade later, he would stand on that very stage for the premiere of ‘Kadak Singh.’
A Challenging Journey with ‘Kadak Singh’:
Paresh opened up about the challenges he faced while working on ‘Kadak Singh,’ labeling it as his most challenging film to date. Surprisingly, the challenge was not related to acting but rather to food. He humorously shared, “I really had to control my taste buds while shooting for ‘Kadak Singh.’ In India, expressing love means sharing food.” Pankaj Tripathi and Tony Da, along with Sanjana, brought home-cooked food on set every day. Paresh even confessed to ordering food and passing it off as his own cooking, all in good spirits.
Behind the Scenes Anecdotes:
Despite the film being titled ‘Kadak Singh,’ Paresh emphasized the gentleness of the people involved in its making. Describing the premiere at IFFI, he said, “We could hear the audience laugh, cry, and clap. It took us almost 20 minutes to reach the exit as people showered appreciation, clicked pictures, and called me by my character’s name, Arjun. It was delightful!”
Upcoming Ventures:
Apart from ‘Kadak Singh,’ Paresh Pahuja is set to grace the screens in ‘Lord Curzon Ki Haveli’ and ‘Operation Valentine,’ promising audiences a diverse and compelling cinematic experience.
In essence, Paresh Pahuja’s journey from an IFFI spectator to a celebrated actor on its stage encapsulates the magic of dreams coming true and the rich experiences gained along the way.
