Pavail Gulatie recently revealed that Shahid Kapoor went out of his way to make sure he had food during the Deva shoot. “Shahid sponsored my meals for 10-15 days on set,” Pavail shared at the trailer launch event. “He would bring me tiffins and buffet spreads. It was incredibly kind of him.”
Off-Screen Chemistry Reflects On-Screen Bromance
Pavail described their on-screen bromance as “fantastic,” attributing it to their great off-screen rapport. “We got along really well. I met Shahid before we started shooting, and I told him I had grown up copying his dance steps,” he said. “I even joined Shiamak Dance Academy because of him.”

The actor also spoke about his career journey, recalling how Thappad producer Siddharth Roy Kapur reached out to him after the film’s success. “It was a huge moment for me,” Pavail reflected. “I’ve worked with a wonderful crew, and Shahid is the backbone of Deva.”
