Meena Mir Dishes on Her New Role
You know Meena Mir? She’s playing Gayatri Devi in Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani on Sun Neo. When she first heard about the role, she thought, “Easy peasy!” because Gayatri reminded her so much of her own mom. Turns out, it was way more challenging than she expected!
Mom as Muse
“When I first learned about Gayatri Devi, it just clicked,” Meena says. “She was so much like my mother – all that grace, warmth, and dignity. I figured it would be a breeze.”
Acting is Harder Than It Looks!
But Meena quickly realized that acting isn’t just about copying what you see. “My mother was my inspiration, for sure, but bringing Gayatri Devi to life took real work, patience, and focus,” she explains. “I had to find that sweet spot between being strong and gentle, authoritative and understanding, traditional and emotional.”
A Whole New Level of Respect
This role has given Meena a brand new appreciation for her mother. “I’ve discovered a deeper respect for the quiet strength my mother always had,” she says.
What’s the Show About?
So, what’s Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani actually about? It’s the story of Ghevar, a lively village girl who’s raised by her older brother and his wife. Her life takes a wild turn when a baby is left in their care. This little one connects two totally different worlds and kicks off a story full of promises, sacrifices, and one woman’s incredible courage.
