Andrew quits after Giuffre’s memoir comes out
On Friday, Prince Andrew said that he would give up his royal title with the support of King Charles III. The timing is right because Giuffre’s memoir “Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice” just came out. In it, she talks about her alleged encounters with the prince when she was 17.
Andrew said, “After talking with The King, my close family, and my extended family, we have come to the conclusion that the accusations against me are getting in the way of His Majesty and the Royal Family’s work.” Nevertheless, he still denied all the accusations.
Prince William is in charge of the future of the monarchy
Hilary Fordwich, an expert on the royal family, said that Prince William has played a big role in getting Andrew out of the royal family. Fordwich said, “Prince William has been the driving force behind all of this, and he is right.” Furthermore, “Prince William is thinking about the monarchy’s future, reputation, and even its existence in the long term.”

In response to the announcement, Giuffre’s family said in a statement that Andrew’s decision was “vindication for our sister and survivors everywhere” and a “powerful step forward” in making Epstein’s trafficking network responsible.
