QARIB QARIB SINGLLE – You definitely need a “Yogi” in your life…not a guy that meditates, but a guy named “Yogi” who is witty, charming, a poet, a mango lover, and a person that knows how to respect their woman. Actor Irfan Khan is that perfect character for this role.
Hats of to “Dushman” – Director Tanuja Chandra, for making an unusual offbeat romantic simple comedy that brings a smile and sensibility both together in this film called “QARIB QARIB SINGLLE”.
Today websites and internet are available, along with “Tinder”, “Snap chat”, along with many dating sites for people that are seeking commitments. It is not that easy to find the right one, but the resources are there. The film revolves around a widow girl in her mid – thirties, played by South Indian Actress Parvathy. Playing the role of Jaya (Jayshree) – she works in the health sector with insurance policies. The film does show opposites that finally attract, and go on a road trip to meet their past relationships along the way.
This odd and unusual story is the surprise element that brings humor to oneself. It impresses you with a new concept for the film audience to appreciate. I have often repeated saying this year, that it is the small Bollywood films that have a big heart and freshness in concept that should must be seen by everyone on the big screen.
