Quinton Aaron on Life Support After Blood Infection

Quinton Aaron, who is best known for playing Michael Oher in the Oscar-winning movie The Blind Side, is currently on life support after being hospitalized for a serious blood infection. Margarita Aaron, his wife, gave a good update while he was still going through medical tests.

Quinton Aaron fell down the stairs at his Atlanta home and lost feeling in his legs after days of neck and back pain. Paramedics quickly took him to the hospital, where he was put on life support and intubated on Friday because his breathing was irregular. Doctors found a blood infection (sepsis) and are giving the patient broad-spectrum antibiotics while they figure out what caused it.

Margarita Aaron, a registered nurse, told the press that Quinton opened his eyes, gave a thumbs up, and moved his fingers. She called him a “strong fighter” who was making progress every day. He only needs some help with breathing, and his condition is described as “day by day.” To help pay for his medical and living costs while he recovers, a GoFundMe page has been set up.

Aaron is best known for his roles in “The Blind Side” with Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw. He has also been in “One Tree Hill” and “Law & Order.” This comes after other scares, like being hospitalized in 2025 with the flu, pneumonia, and a respiratory infection in 2019.
