RACE 3 – The twists and turns is what “Race 1 & 2” was famous for, and the third one also stays with that theme of who is backstabbing who in this third installment in “RACE 3” This time you have Salman Khan in the lead role as Sikander Singh. This time its not about the money. Its about the family.

You could say it is “Hum Aapke Hai Kaun” meets “Godfather” in a very bad way. The story is weak, senseless, far fetched, and majorly ridiculous with a bad script. The head of this family, or the arms dealer gangster from Abu Dhabi, is Shamsher Singh, played by Anil Kapoor. He tries to keep the children united, and to be together to run this family operation. His dream is to one day go back to his village in Handia, India. He is wealthy, and looks dignified, but loves to speak in his bhaiyaa language with his family whenever he gets a chance. That just kills the film for me even more. Salman plays his so called son, but his little siblings resent him, who are played by Daisy Shah & Saqib Salim.

As for Bobby Deol, his role has been written in forcefully, as the family friend that is more than a family to them. I guess his role was created by Salman to help him out. Everyone looks like they are all over acting, and have time to shoot guns, shoot torpedo missiles, and kill people in the dessert.

Director Remo D’ Souza has ruined the concept and treatment of the film that was originally done by the Director – Duo – Abbas-Mastan. I thought the film would get better as the film progressed, but it just gets worse and more worse, that you end up cracking up.  The film is a downward spiral that never ends. Yet having set that…the only good thing were the songs and Jacqueline Fernandez with her pole dancing skills. Overall the film gets only 1 star. “RACE 3” is a major disappointment.
