**Mumbai, October 2025:** Rachit Singh has been coaching actors for ten years, but now he’s in the spotlight and making waves. People are praising the acting coach who became an actor for his strong first role as **Veeran** in Maddock Films’ *Thamma*.
### From Behind the Scenes to the Main Stage
Rachit spent years behind the camera making performances. He is now putting that knowledge to use. His portrayal of **Veeran**, a devoted follower of the Betaal sect who worships **Thama Yakshasan** (played by **Nawazuddin Siddiqui**), is both intense and nuanced. Veeran is loyal to **Tadaka** (**Rashmika Mandanna**), who fights to keep **Alok** (**Ayushmann Khurrana**) safe from Yakshasan’s evil powers.
### A Role That Changes Things
Rachit plays a vampire in the movie along with Veeran. To play this part, you had to change your body a lot and be very emotionally involved. It shows how committed he is to being real and flexible
Rachit on His First Day
Rachit said this about the experience:
“Thamma” is both the start of something new and the end of something old for me. It was exciting and scary to finally get in front of the camera after years of teaching actors. Veeran pushed me harder than anyone else. It was like a dream to work with Ayushmann, Rashmika, and Nawazuddin sir. Thank you for all the love and support. This first time feels like a dream come true.
A one-of-a-kind horror-comedy
Aditya Sarpotdar directed *Thamma*, which is a “bloody love story.” The movie mixes horror, romance, fantasy, and comedy as Ayushmann turns into a vampire and falls in love with Rashmika’s character, which is against the rules.
Rachit Singh’s first movie shows that years of working behind the scenes can lead to great acting on screen.
