Singer Rahul Vaidya went on Instagram to lament the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. Looking visibly distraught, he also spoke against the absence of preventive measures in the country.

AI-171: A National Tragedy

Air India Flight AI‑171, a Boeing 787‑8 Dreamliner, crashed 30 seconds after takeoff from Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025. The flight was bound for London.

The plane crashed into the B.J. Medical College hostel and killed 241 people onboard and 38 on the ground. One passenger has survived.
