Singer Rahul Vaidya went on Instagram to lament the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. Looking visibly distraught, he also spoke against the absence of preventive measures in the country.

Commenting on the incident, Rahul wrote:
Jab tak humare desh mein kuch jaane nai jaati tab tak naye rules/changes nai hote. There is absolutely no value for human life in our country.”
He concluded the post with a broken heart emoji, which reflected the national mood.
AI-171: A National Tragedy
Air India Flight AI‑171, a Boeing 787‑8 Dreamliner, crashed 30 seconds after takeoff from Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025. The flight was bound for London.
The plane crashed into the B.J. Medical College hostel and killed 241 people onboard and 38 on the ground. One passenger has survived.
Rescue and Investigation Underway
Rescue teams are still active at the crash scene. The black box has been retrieved. All Boeing 787s operating in India are now subject to extended safety checks.
