The Challenge of Balancing Work and Life
“On a daily soap, our personal life often takes a backseat,” Rashmi shares. “There’s barely any time for regular life. But over time, we form strong bonds with our co-actors, and it feels like family.”
Set Becomes a Second Home
Despite being away from her real family, Rashmi says the relationships on set help ease the loneliness. “The set becomes our second home,” she explains. “We share inside jokes, meals, and laughs. It’s comforting to be around people who feel like family.”
Off-Days Aren’t Truly a Break
When actors finally get a break, it’s often spent catching up on chores and sleep. “We crave sleep more than anything,” Rashmi admits. “There’s no time for parties or shopping, just rest and peace.”
A Grueling 9-to-9 Schedule
Rashmi compares her work schedule to a regular 9-to-5 job, but with much longer hours. “It’s more like 9-to-9,” she says. “We shoot for 12 hours, come home drained, and repeat the cycle. Personal life takes a backseat.”
Finding Joy Amidst the Chaos
Despite the challenges, Rashmi finds moments of joy during breaks. “Between shots and chai-time chats, we steal little moments for ourselves,” she says. “We’ve learned to balance it all because, when you love what you do, work becomes part of your happiness.”
