Roman Griffin Davis, who became famous for his role in Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit, is now a voice actor in the upcoming 3D animated adventure Wonderland from the Polish studio Lightcraft.
Davis portrays Jake, a 12-year-old boy who encounters strange Vagapulga creatures in dreams alongside his friend Jenny in Wonderland (formerly Dreamworld). Co-director Daniel Markowicz praises Davis for grasping the character’s emotional depth instantly and declares him the perfect fit. Mads Mikkelsen lends his voice to a key role in this English-language film, while Mikołaj Stroński—famed for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt—composes the score.
Davis skyrocketed to global fame portraying Jojo, a young Adolf Hitler admirer, in Jojo Rabbit, clinching a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Young Performer and earning a Golden Globe nomination. He recently stars in The Long Walk, teams up with Gerard Butler in Greenland 2: Migration, joins Bill Nighy and Maisie Williams in 500 Miles, and voices Walter Dickens in The King of Kings.
Polish studio Lightcraft produces Wonderland, which Markowicz and Maks Naporowski direct. Paulina Nowak, Dush Derakhshani, and Michael Roesch serve as executive producers. Kinostar manages world sales and unveils a sizzle reel at the Berlin Film Market.
