Russell Simmons Blasts Kimora Lee Over Kids Access Block

Russell Simmons responded to his ex-wife Kimora Lee Simmons’s claim that she had no relationship with the fathers of her children by saying that she was keeping him from seeing his daughters Ming Lee, 25, and Aoki Lee, 23. In a Threads post, the co-founder of Def Jam said he paid her $50,000 a month for 20 years while being her “best and only friend” and the godfather of her other children. He said that a disagreement over stolen stocks ruined their relationship and that threats of legal action would cut off his contact with the girls.

Kimora, who is 50, told People that she gets help from her “village” with full-time parenting. She said that co-parenting is hard because “guys are weird” and her exes Russell, Djimon Hounsou, and Tim Leissner stay away. She stressed that fathers should be welcome, but she didn’t directly respond to Russell’s claims yet. The two were married from 1998 to 2009 and have been in court together many times, including a lawsuit over money in 2021.

This fight brings back years of problems, like Kimora and her daughters’ claims of abuse in 2023, which Russell denied, and ongoing custody and money issues. Russell says there are “two sides to every story,” which shows how hard he is fighting for the love and stability of his kids. As the fight goes viral online, Kimora has not responded.
