Famous actor Saanand Verma, known for films like Raid, Mardaani, and Chhichhore, is all set to make his singing debut. He will feature multiple songs in the upcoming movie Golambar.
A Passion for Singing Since Childhood
Saanand reveals, “I enjoyed singing even as a child, sitting in someone’s lap. My maternal grandfather called me ‘Kalakaar Bhaiya’ because I was always humming. Singing has been natural to me since childhood. Acting and singing live inside me.”
A Versatile Career Beyond Acting
Though acting is his main profession, Saanand has also worked in the corporate world and film direction. “I’ve created promos, written scripts, and directed. But singing has always stayed close to my heart,” he says.
Musical Inspirations That Shaped Him
Saanand’s biggest musical influence is Kishore Kumar. He also admires legends like Mohammad Rafi, Mukesh, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Ghulam Ali, Jagjit Singh, and Hemant Kumar. “Other inspirations include R.D. Burman, S.D. Burman, Kumar Sanu, and Sonu Nigam,” he adds.
