Sachet-Parampara Score a Win in Raanjhan Copyright Dispute, Sue KMKZ.

Streaming Services Back Them Up, Reject Plagiarism Claims

Looks like music duo Sachet-Parampara have come out on top in that Raanjhan copyright drama! Remember how foreign musician KMKZ accused them of ripping him off? Well, big streaming platforms took a look at the claims, and guess what? They found absolutely no evidence of plagiarism.

Proof is in the Files

Apparently, Sachet-Parampara submitted all the original project files for Raanjhan to the platforms way before the song even came out. After checking everything, the platforms confirmed that Sachet-Parampara are indeed the rightful creators of the track. Case closed… or so you’d think!

Taking Legal Action

Now that the accusations have been thrown out, the duo isn’t letting it go. They’re fighting back and have filed a defamation case against KMKZ for spreading what they say are false allegations. Ouch!

It’s All About the Chords

Music experts have also chimed in, pointing out that the song uses a pretty common chord progression in F# major (F#5, F#5 major 7, B sus 2, E minor, D flat, and E minor, for those musically inclined!). This sequence pops up in tons of different songs and isn’t unique to any one artist.

Sachet-Parampara Speak Out

The duo released a pretty strong statement, saying: “The accusations are baseless. We shared original session files with YouTube, Spotify, and others. All confirmed our authorship. With legal advice, we have issued a defamation notice and are ready for strict action.”

Back to the Music

Despite all the drama, Sachet-Parampara aren’t letting it distract them. They’re determined to keep their heads down and focus on what they do best: creating awesome, innovative music. Good for them!
