Aamir Khan To Play Osho In His Next?

Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan is known for picking only those scripts that narrate stories or concepts that are either never head of or are capable of hooking the nation simply for the star’s involvement in it. One such project is an upcoming Karan Joharproduction based on spiritual guru Rajneesh Osho. Though there’s been no conformation yet on whether or not Aamir has signed the project, reports suggest that the celebrated actor has liked the film’s script offered to him, but he wants to be sure that he would do full justice to the role before he signs on the dotted line. For this, Khan has apparently begun meeting prosthetic experts to ensure if he fits the part of the spiritual leader.

Directed by the talented Shakun Batra, the maker of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012) and Kapoor & Sons (2016), the Rajneesh Osho biopic is sure to interest the nation, given the overwhelming response received by the Netflix documentary series, Wild Wild Country, based on the controversial guru, his one-time personal assistant Ma Anand Sheela, and their followers in the Rajneeshpuram community located in Wasco County, Oregon.

If the look tests satisfy Aamir and he finally agrees to do the film, he will have to sport four distinct looks in it, beginning with Osho’s mounting-popularity as a spiritual guru in India to his setting up base in the US. A thorough professional, Khan is celebrated for getting into the skin of his screen characters and undergoing the starkest of transformations in a chase to portray his parts to their best capabilities. Take any of his film from the past and you would know exactly what we mean. The most recent example is Nitesh Tiwari’s Dangal; not only his strong acting credentials stunned the nation, but his astounding makeover too had us in awe of the superstar!

If reports are anything to go by, Bollywood numero uno actress Alia Bhatt might play Osho’s closest aide, Ma Anand Sheela. But looks like, no official announcement will come our way before Aamir’s upcoming action adventure drama, Thugs of Hindostan, releases. The film, also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Ronit Roy and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles, is set to hit the movie halls on 7 November 2018. It’s been directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by AdiytaChopra.
