Sheetal Kale, who you might know as Nargis (Sushmita Sen’s awesome best friend) from the show Taali, is using her voice for something really important: street animals! She’s always been one to promote kindness and understanding, and she’s doing it again.
Supreme Court Decision Causes Uproar
Recently, the Supreme Court ordered authorities in Delhi and the surrounding areas to round up all the stray dogs and put them in shelters within the next two months. The idea is to cut down on dog bites and rabies.
But, a lot of animal lovers are worried. They say this goes against the idea of sterilizing and releasing the dogs, which helps them live peacefully alongside people.
“They Belong Here With Us”
Sheetal took to Instagram to share her feelings, saying:
“Street dogs are part of our community, plain and simple. They deserve the same love, care, and safety we do. This is their home, they have always been here with us, not locked away in shelters. Let’s be compassionate instead of fearful, and find solutions where everyone is safe and free.” 🐾❤️
