Shemaroo Umang has released a teaser for their upcoming supernatural drama, ‘Shamshaan Champa’, produced by the renowned Gul Khan. This enthralling series, set to blend mystique, horror, and spine-chilling suspense, features Trupati Mishra in the lead role of Champa.

Trupati Mishra, expressing her excitement about the role, shared, “I’ve always admired Gul ma’am and the unique shows she creates. ‘Shamshaan Champa’ is no exception—it’s the story of an ordinary girl, Champa, who’s a devout follower of Lord Shiva. Destiny takes a twist, and she becomes a daayan, but her heart remains pure throughout. The role came to me unexpectedly. Many talented actresses auditioned for this role, but as they say, destiny has its own script. I believe I was destined to play this role, and that’s why the role came to me at the eleventh hour. Just the teaser has built so much intrigue about the show. I am excited to see what the reaction of the viewers will be when they will get to know Champa’s story.”

The recently released first look of the show introduces Champa, portrayed by Trupati Mishra, on a dark, eerie night, fleeing for her life with a basket of Champa flowers. She is pursued by masked men wielding torches, ultimately falling and being attacked under a banyan tree. Left bruised and unconscious, Champa is miraculously healed by a mysterious shadow, transforming her into a powerful daayan with elongated nails and hair. As she walks, the crushed flowers revive. The scene also features the powerful daayan, played by Monalisa, observing from the shadows. The promo leaves viewers with the tantalizing question: what is Champa’s true story?

Prepare for a thrilling journey filled with horror and mystery as ‘Shamshaan Champa’ unfolds. Stay tuned to Shemaroo Umang for the latest updates on this captivating new series.
