SHERNI – Movie Review

SHERNI, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime for the past week or so, is a new film that stars: Vidya Balan, along with, Vijay Raaz, Neeraj Kabir, Sharad Saxena & Ila Arun. 

    It is an off beat film that deals with one of the India’s most valued treasure that is the Tiger. Vidya Balan plays a forest ranger who sees that it is indeed a thin line that she has to walk on, when she sees that the Tiger population is slowly diminishing, because of poaching. At the same time these animals are killing local farmers that use the forest as their way of life to farm, and bring food to their family at home. Politics comes into play and many adversaries come against her to do her investigation properly. 

    It is an interesting storyline, but very dull to watch. “SHERNI” is a lack-lustre affair.
