Shweta Tripathi does Aarti at Ganga Ghat while filming Mirzapur: The Movie

A Spiritual Break While Shooting Mirzapur

While filming Mirzapur: The Movie, actress Shweta Tripathi recently did Aarti and Puja at the Ganga Ghat in Benaras. The actress took a break from filming to enjoy the spiritual energy of the holy city.

### Benaras: The Beginning

Shweta feels more than just a place in Benaras (Varanasi). She filmed her first movie, “Masaan,” here, and since then, the city has been a recurring part of her story.

“Benaras… This city keeps pulling me back. Since Masaan, I’ve been coming here. My Nana went to BHU, and my mom wore a Benarasi lehenga for her wedding. She said, “My trainer, Tridev Pandey, is also from here.”

The actress also said that the food, simplicity, and warmth of Benaras always make her feel at home.

Fans Bring Mirzapur Magic to the City

Shweta also talked about how excited fans have been, making Benaras look like a movie set.

“Fans are always posting pictures and updates from our shoots. It seems like our family has gotten bigger! “There’s so much love and laughter behind the scenes; that’s what keeps me going,” she said.

A Mix of Belief and Fame

Mirzapur: The Movie is one of the most anticipated releases, and Shweta’s strong connection to Benaras gives the project an emotional touch. For her, every visit is a “spiritual reunion” that mixes “nostalgia, devotion, and gratitude.”
