SIMMBA Trademark License
Sona Beverages Pvt Ltd, the owner of the emerging craft beverage venture, SIMBA has licensed the usage of the trademark SIMBA to Rohit Shetty Picturez LLP for the Ranveer Singh and Sarah Ali Khan starrer ‘Simmba’. In November, Sona Beverages had moved the Delhi High Court seeking to restrain Rohit Shetty Picturez from exploiting their registered trademark SIMBA. Later, the parties entered into a settlement by executing a trademark license agreement.
Director Rohit Shetty expressing his gratitude said, “We are thankful to Prabhtej for licensing SIMBA trademark for my film ‘Simmba’.” Talking about their association, Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, Founder & CEO, SIMBA Craft Beverages shared, “We are happy to license the usage of the name of SIMBA, our beverage brand to Rohit Shetty Picturez LLP. We are India’s most loved craft beverage brand and appreciate the craftsmanship of a director like Rohit.”
Founded in 2016, Simba is the first homegrown, family-run craft beverage brand in India by the company Simba Brewery. In the span of 3 years, the brand has expanded to the popular destinations like Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Goa & Mumbai.
‘Simmba’ is on a record-smashing spree at the box office. The film has crossed the 150 crore since its release. Also, the film is the highest opening film of Ranveer Singh‘s career.
