United Talent Agency (UTA) has signed British comedian and well-known prankster Simon Brodkin. He is known for his crazy characters like Lee Nelson and Jason Bent. This is a big step forward for his U.S. tour career. The deal shows how quickly Brodkin’s career has taken off, thanks to his sold-out “Screwed Up” tour of 170 shows and viral YouTube specials that are the most popular in UK comedy.
Simon Brodkin became famous all over the world for his outrageous stunts that targeted famous people. For example, he threw fake money at FIFA’s Sepp Blatter, crashed Kanye West’s Glastonbury stage, and threw golf balls with swastikas at Donald Trump. He also did other crazy things, like giving UK Prime Minister Theresa May a fake P45 dismissal letter and crashing events with outrageous characters. These actions solidified his title as “the world’s most famous blagger.”
Brodkin’s “Screwed Up” special, filmed at Theatre Royal in East London, became the UK’s most popular comedy on YouTube. It covered everything from Putin and Prince Andrew to personal mental health stories. Because of high demand, the tour was extended four times. It included a Royal Variety Performance for Prince William and Kate Middleton, which showed off his live skills.
Brodkin was called “Premier League” talent by UTA London agent Bjorn Wentlandt. The agency has over 20 comedy experts in Nashville, New York, LA, and London who help U.S. expansion. Brodkin said he picked UTA because they offer “top-tier” touring support. They are now on the same roster as stars like Vir Das and Fo, Arms and Hog.
