Steph Curry 39-Point Return in Warriors’ Timberwolves Loss

Stephen Curry scored 39 points in the Golden State Warriors’ 127-120 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 13, 2025. He had missed five games because of a left quad injury. The 37-year-old superstar showed off his famous sharpshooting in front of a loud home crowd. He had five assists and five rebounds in 32 minutes. This exciting performance shows that Curry is ready to lead the Warriors’ playoff push after a season of ups and downs.

Curry hurt his left quadriceps and strained a muscle in the last few minutes of a loss to the Houston Rockets on November 26. He missed the team’s three-game trip to the East Coast to focus on his rehab at home. On December 10, he was back to full practice under coach Steve Kerr’s watch. After practice, Kerr said he was hopeful for a return on Friday, saying it “looked promising.”

Curry lit up the Chase Center with big shots in his first game back from injury. One of the best moments was a pre-game tunnel celebration that made teammates and fans go wild. His return strengthens a Warriors team that went 3-2 without him. He averaged 27.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 16 games this season. Even though he lost, Curry’s dominance shows why he is a four-time NBA champion and two-time MVP.
