Pushpa 2: The Rule director Sukumar has shared high praise for Ram Charan’s performance in the upcoming film Game Changer, predicting that the actor will win a National Award for it. Sukumar’s review came during a promotional event in Dallas, USA, on Saturday.
Sukumar’s Glowing Review of Game Changer
At the event, Sukumar revealed that he watched Game Changer with Ram Charan’s father, Chiranjeevi. He offered his “first review,” calling the first half “awesome” and the interval a “blockbuster.” However, it was the second half, especially the flashback sequence, that truly impressed him. “The flashback episode gave me goosebumps. It was phenomenal,” Sukumar said, comparing it to the emotional depth of Shankar’s Gentleman and Bharateeyudu (Indian).
Ram Charan’s Performance: A National Award Contender
Sukumar has long believed that Ram Charan deserved a National Award for his role in Rangasthalam. “I was sure Charan would win for Rangasthalam, and I feel the same about Game Changer,” he said. “The way he portrays emotions, especially in the climax, is remarkable. He will definitely win a National Award for this performance.”
A Special Bond with Ram Charan
Sukumar spoke about his close relationship with Ram Charan, noting that while he remains in touch with only a few of his actors, Charan is an exception. “Charan is like a brother to me. We’ve stayed in touch even after Rangasthalam, and we often meet to discuss various things,” he shared.

Sukumar is set to collaborate with Ram Charan again for a new project, following their successful partnership on Rangasthalam. “I’m excited for our next film together,” Sukumar said, hinting at another blockbuster collaboration.
As Game Changer gears up for release, Sukumar’s praise of Ram Charan’s performance has only heightened expectations for the film, which also stars Kiara Advani.
