Megha Ray: “Diwali Feels Magical When the Air Smells of Sweets and Diyas”
For Megha Ray, who plays Divya in Divya Prem, the Diwali spirit begins right after Navratri.
“When the air is filled with the fragrance of sweets and diyas, it feels like magic,” she smiles.
For her, Diwali means cleaning, decorating, and spending time with loved ones. She avoids firecrackers because of her pets.
“This year, I’ll celebrate with my family and my Divya Prem team on set,” she adds.
Her simple celebrations reflect the real essence of Diwali — togetherness and kindness.
Gauri Shelgaonkar: “Chakli, Rangolis, and Family Time — My Diwali Must-Haves”
Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri star Gauri Shelgaonkar fondly remembers her childhood Diwalis.
“Mom made my favorite snacks — ladoos, chivda, and chakli,” she recalls. “My brother and I loved them so much that she had to make more!”
She also enjoyed making colorful rangolis outside her home.
“This year, I’m taking a short break to celebrate with my family. I can’t wait to enjoy the food, colors, and laughter again,” she says.
Her memories capture the warmth of home and the joy of simple traditions.
Anandita Sahoo: “Floating Diyas on the Mahanadi — A Memory I’ll Never Forget”
For Satyaa Sachee actress Anandita Sahoo, Diwali brings back memories of her childhood in Odisha.
“During Kartika Purnima, we floated diyas on the Mahanadi River. The whole city glowed, and the air smelled of chhena poda and mangala sweets,” she recalls.
This year, she plans to keep her celebration traditional.
“I’ll light diyas, decorate with jhoti (rangoli), and share homemade sweets with my Satyaa Sachee team,” she says.
For Anandita, Diwali is about love, light, and togetherness — values she still holds close.
